Provided strategic advice to the Department of Defence on shipbuilding and submarine industry and infrastructure consolidation, establishing inaugural governance systems and leading the first program and financing review of the Nuclear-Powered Submarine program
Co-led the capability review of the then Department of Health and Ageing
Maintained surface transport, freight and logistics continuity at ports and state borders through national and state lockdowns and border restrictions during COVID
Established national infrastructure stimulus programs during the COVID pandemic
Implemented new Road Vehicles Standards Act across Australia
Led major change and reform activities encompassing staffing models, structures, governance and culture
Outside of Nous
Prior to joining Nous, David was a senior executive in the Departments of Health, Finance, Infrastructure and the Defence portfolio, with 16 years in senior executive ranks, culminating in six years at the Deputy Secretary level.
In his spare time...
David enjoys time with family and friends, gardening, exercise, fishing and cheering on his children at the basketball. He has also recently rediscovered table tennis.
