Emily is passionate about shaping policy and strategy to strengthen health systems and improve outcomes for patients and communities.
With over eight years in the health sector, she works with a range of public, private and not-for-profit health clients to uncover insights and deliver practical solutions that support value-based care and long-term financial sustainability.

Influential work

  • Contributed to primary care reform, advising on funding and governance mechanisms to enhance access to quality service delivery in rural and remote areas 
  • Evaluated a national women’s health pilot, involving extensive consultation and data collection to provide a strong evidence base to government, that will inform decisions on scaling the program to improve patient access and equity 
  • Developed a strategy for a leading private hospital service to support the sustainability of their clinical excellence and research program 
  • Supported a national review of virtual care models across non-admitted, admitted and emergency hospital settings to inform a national pricing approach 
  • Conducted a mid-term review of a Medical Research Future Fund investment including consultation with local and international stakeholders, to ensure progress toward its goal of improving genomics research and translation 

Outside of Nous

Emily previously worked in global biotechnology company CSL, where she gathered experience across multiple commercial divisions, including Finance and Operations, Medical Affairs and Marketing. Here she developed a strong passion for the healthcare sector, while developing expertise in funding and market access, stakeholder engagement and advocacy, financial modelling and strategic planning. 

Emily holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing Science) from Monash University.

In her spare time...

Emily enjoys travelling, cooking for friends and family, and cheering on the Richmond Football Club at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
