Fiona is a strong communicator who draws on her dynamic background in healthcare and retail to deliver unique insight and analysis.

Influential work

  • Led the process to transform ownership of a business, including writing the sales memorandum and business plan, and project-managing stakeholders
  • As a registered nurse, engaged more than 50 patients and their carers to implement care plans to address complex mental health presentations.
  • Educated diverse patients to use psychotherapies to manage distress, and worked closely with a multidisciplinary team of diverse health professionals to improve care on the ward
  • Led a 12-member team to implement 150 meetings focused on effective public speaking, communication, and leadership skills as the University of Sydney Toastmasters President.

Outside of Nous

Outside of Nous, Fiona works as a registered mental health nurse on an acute adolescent ward, where she engages with diverse consumers and their parents/carers to deliver trauma-informed, patient-centred care.

She also holds an Associate of Music, Australia (AMusA) Diploma in violin and completed Grade 5 in Musicianship from the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB). Fiona also attended MLC School as the only recipient of a full music scholarship in violin over six years, and performed numerous times at the Sydney Opera House.

Fiona was previously a business manager at a takeaway business, where she led a team of seven to deliver day-to-day store operations including customer service, stock-keeping and training for four years.

In her spare time...

In her spare time, Fiona enjoys taking her energetic husky to the dog park and doing weight training at the gym. She is enthusiastic about baking (especially brown butter chocolate chip cookies) and playing the violin.
