Hudson is an established leader in the Australian health and community services systems.
He has led major strategy, model of care, evaluation and governance programs with Health Service Providers, government and Aboriginal-led organisations. Hudson works closely with executives, clinicians and communities to translate complex challenges into practical, implementable solutions that improve community and consumer outcomes. He brings strong stakeholder engagement experience leading culturally responsive engagements across metropolitan and regional WA.
Influential work
- Led the statewide redesign of the WA infant, child and adolescent mental health system, through the ICA Taskforce Implementation Program
- Directed the evaluation and redesign of $60m p.a. in Aboriginal health program funding across WA to improve cultural security, patient outcomes and transitions to community care
- Co-designed multiple community-based mental health and AOD services for young people, including step-up/step-down and long-term housing programs, and specialist mental health intake models
- Led development of a strategic reform roadmap for the Northern Territory, identifying initiatives to strengthen mental health and psychosocial services for young people
- Advised the Ministerial Working Group on the Independent Review of WA Health System Governance, leading system-wide analysis and developing reform recommendations to improve patient experience and system accountability
Outside of Nous
Outside of Nous, Hudson spends a lot of time at the farm. Following the Wooroloo Bushfires in 2021 which affected his family’s property, Hudson runs community bushfire appeal events to raise funds for regional families doing it tough through music, arts and other community initiatives.
In his spare time...
Hudson enjoys going out to dinner with friends, travelling around WA to find some hidden getaway spots and spending time at the farm with his family.
