Influential work

  • Developed and analysed a survey engaging with over 30 higher education and research providers on their experience implementing a gender equity, diversity and inclusion program
  • Assisted in an audit engagement of an aged care provider, ensuring their staff were renumerated appropriately
  • Co-developed and facilitated an intensive 6 week program of workshops aimed at understanding and transforming residential college culture
  • Assisted in the research, drafting and publishing of a literature review for the Health and Community Services Union’s Breaking the Silence project, a research paper for the Australian Feminist Foreign Policy Coalition’s Issue Paper Series, and a forthcoming academic article exploring the intersection of generative AI and gendered epistemic harms
  • Devised a search strategy for a literature search on setting, implementing and achieving gender equality targets in the public sector

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Isobel worked as a research assistant at the Global Institute for Women's Leadership (GIWL), where she contributed to a wide range of projects spanning academic research, policy design, and advocacy. During her time at GIWL, she co-authored and edited academic articles and white papers, and supported the drafting and editing of two books. 

Isobel also contributed to several impactful research engagements, including a rapid review project advising a major public sector organisation on best practices for implementing gender equality targets, an impact evaluation of a gender equality framework for a private sector organisation in the academia and research sector, and the development of a funding strategy and implementation guide for a charity advancing gender equality in the STEM sector.

In her spare time...

Isobel enjoys watching films, crocheting, and going to music events. She also loves to travel. Her favourite most recent trip was to Indonesia, where she hiked with orangutans and saw blue fire.
