Jennifer Tran

Jennifer combines systems thinking with delivery discipline to solve public policy challenges and drive organisational reform.
With a career spanning management consulting and public sector leadership roles, she is known for her ability to make sense of complexity, bring stakeholders together, and deliver tangible results. She brings expertise in central government, climate and energy, defence, economic development, and education.

Influential work

  • Led the implementation of machinery of government changes within a state government department, which saw the department take on a number of new functions
  • Led an organisational review of a state government department, working with leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives to address them
  • Worked across state government departments to refresh the state’s defence and defence industries strategy
  • Worked across state government departments to identify whole-of-government priorities in the climate and energy space
  • Led the development of a quality teaching framework, co-designed with principals and teachers, to support effective classroom practice

Outside of Nous

Jennifer commenced her career at Nous and has recently returned. During the interim, Jennifer held various roles at the WA Department of the Premier and Cabinet and the WA Department of Education, including leading the Governance and Strategy, and Strategic Priorities teams. 

In 2024, she was selected to represent the WA Department of the Premier and Cabinet in the 2024-25 Women in Executive Leadership Initiative in recognition of her leadership capabilities. 

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia.
