Joey thrives working in new environments, is open to new challenges and has strong interpersonal skills.
She recently graduated from a Master of Arts (International Development), where she worked with a member of parliament for a research project. She co-founded a community organisation to raise awareness of sexual violence and is Company Secretary for the ASEAN-Australia Strategic Youth Partnership.
Influential work
Led research on creating community in dislocated neighbourhoods on behalf of a member of parliament, including providing best practice recommendations to enhance community-building in Karawara, South Perth
Developed and optimised an employer evaluation vetting protocol for Waalitj Foundation’s employment program, supporting more than 1,300 jobseekers
Developed an instructional package to improve social impact for the Financial Counselling Network (FCN), analysing data over two years to impact more than 8,000 clients
Delivered a social impact framework and strategic plan for Zero2Hero’s program impacting more than 26,000 young people
Co-founded Young Women Against Sexual Violence, including managing eight educational community events to spread awareness of sexual harm via music nights, workshops, poetry, speeches, art exhibitions and other creative forms.
Outside of Nous
Joey co-founded Young Women Against Sexual Violence in 2021 to raise awareness of sexual harm in the community. During her Bachelor of Arts she volunteered at 180 Degrees Consulting, where she found her passion in working with not-for-profit organisations.
She pursued a Master of International Development, during which time she was the Company Secretary for the ASEAN-Australia Strategic Youth Partnership. She also participated in the Parliamentary Research Program working with a state member of parliament.

Joey enjoys doing aerial silks and spending quality time with her friends and family. Her latest hobby is knitting.
