Influential work

  • Supported the Victorian Government to launch Automatic Approvals, a streamlined digitised process for businesses to undertake low risk business activities which saves businesses and councils time and money in applying for and processing low risk regulatory approvals
  • Prepared a feasibility study for an Indigenous aged care facility in the Albury-Wodonga region, including extensive stakeholder engagement with First Nations stakeholders and detailed cost modelling to identify the preferred model for the aged care facility
  • Facilitated a two-day global research Roundtable on behalf of FightMND, which brought together leading researchers from around the world in Melbourne to explore opportunities for collaboration
  • Conducted evaluations of two respective federal arts funding programs, assessing their effectiveness and identifying opportunities to expand the programs moving forward
  • Designed and facilitated a co-design workshop bringing together three Victorian Government departments and the University of Melbourne to identify areas for potential research collaboration
  • Published a report which quantified the costs and benefits of Victorian regulations over a ten-year period, including detailed mapping of quantified costs and benefits of in force regulations, modelling the present value of the costs and benefits at the time of publication, and categorising the costs and benefits by sector and government department

Outside of Nous

Prior to Nous, Jonah worked at a boutique public policy, strategy and economic advisory firm based in Melbourne.

Within this role, Jonah managed the delivery of strategic, economic and policy advice to all levels of government, the private sector and non-government organisations. He has managed the delivery of regulatory reviews which have made it easier to do business in Victoria, and has prepared detailed economic analysis and evaluation across the health, human services, agriculture, higher education and government sectors.

In his spare time...

Jonah enjoys the vibrancy of Melbourne and the experiences it has to offer. On the weekend you will find him searching for the best new coffee spot, stocking up on fresh produce at the Queen Victoria Market or catching a game of footy at the MCG.
