- Developed ESG (environmental, social, governance) framework for private equity funds, assessing regulation, competitor benchmarks and value return to inform long-term portfolio strategy, before publishing the framework and insights as a whitepaper
- Identified talent attraction and retention strategies for a government division, mapping workforce requirements, skill shortages and potential talent pools, then identifying strategies to train, attract and retain workers
- Designed features for a Pacific Islands healthcare social enterprise, undertaking user research, mockups, and prototyping
- Identified significant revenue uplift for a leading insurer, including collaborating to design the value proposition, roadmap, business case and customer experience features of a new service
- Redesigned a bank’s staff portal to improve employee outcomes, working alongside stakeholders to identify and validate six guiding principles used to wireframe a new portal
Outside of Nous
Prior to Nous, Katia worked as a designer and a management consultant.
She began her career in user experience (UX), designing and evaluating employee digital solutions at a large investment bank, before moving to Beyond Essential, a social enterprise that delivers digital solutions that improve healthcare access in remote Pacific Islander communities.
She then moved into management consulting, working across general strategy and design-specific work for clients in a broad range of industries, including financial services, insurance, health and government, before coming to Nous to focus on social impact projects.
Katia holds a Bachelor of Design Computing and Advanced Studies (Dalyell Stream) from the University of Sydney.
In her spare time...
Katia is passionate about the ocean, and enjoys scuba diving and swimming in her spare time. She loves to travel and connect with people from other cultures, and spent a year backpacking across more than 30 countries.
