Outside of Nous
Prior to Nous, Madeleine worked for the East Asia Forum, a research institute and publication based out of the Australian National University’s Crawford School of Public Capacity. In this position, Madeleine worked across a variety of projects and events, including advancing cooperation on decarbonisation of the Australia-China economic relationship and the annual ANU Japan Update.
She has also worked for the Northern Territory Government, where she delivered support services to vulnerable Territorians. Supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade New Colombo Plan, Madeleine spent eighteen months studying and interning in Taiwan and China from February 2023 to June 2024.
Madeleine holds a Bachelor of Philosophy, Politics and Economics and Bachelor of Asian Studies from the Australian National University.

Madeleine enjoys walking, sewing and trying new restaurants. She is a keen traveller and has lived in China for two years.
