Mei is an experienced senior consultant with a strong background in data analysis, institutional evaluation, and higher education advisory.
She has worked with universities and public sector clients, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform policy and strategy. Mei’s experience includes assessing institutional performance, developing equity and civic engagement frameworks, and producing data-driven reports on market trends and stakeholder sentiments. She is skilled at synthesising complex data and presenting insights to support decision-making and policy development.

Influential work

  • Developed evidence-based strategies for financial sustainability at a UK university, delivering targeted transformation initiatives that enabled £16M in cost savings
  • Provided implementation and advisory support to a large UK post-92 university with global campuses for the launch of their new website, aimed at enhancing student recruitment through digital transformation
  • Conducted both quantitative and qualitative analysis of a 15,000-participant survey to gauge stakeholder sentiments on government guidance, contributing to a report that helped government leaders identify areas for improvement
  • Developed a comprehensive EDI strategy for a Russell Group university, driving the current state analysis and designing an evaluation framework aligned with strategic priorities

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Mei completed her Bachelor of Science (economics) at the Queen Mary, University of London, earning First Class Honours; and her Master of Science (economics) at University College London (UCL). She was elected as the Academic Representative for her master’s programme, representing her cohort in meetings such as the Staff-Student Consultative Committee, which has a significant influence on the development of education at UCL. Mei also previous experience working in finance and consulting.

In her spare time...

Mei loves exploring new places, playing the guitar and finding new places to eat. She is also a keen sourdough baker.
