Nick is a Manager with more than four years of consulting experience. He is passionate about promoting positive influence through his work.
Nick’s core expertise includes economic analysis (including cost-benefit analysis and regulation impact statements), business case development, program evaluation, and the extraction of meaningful insights from data analytics and research. He has experience across sectors including infrastructure, justice, energy and utilities, and health and disability.

Influential work

  • Developed the business case and procurement strategy for the establishment of an offshore wind industry in Victoria
  • Delivered an economic appraisal of the multi-billion-dollar Torrens-to-Darlington Project, including a detailed cost-benefit analysis and methodological report
  • Managed an engagement that provided strategic and commercial advice to a port operator regarding a proposed billion-dollar renewable energy infrastructure project
  • Developed a business case for a large-scale rehabilitation prison, including service and operating model development, demand forecasting, data analysis, and cost-benefit analysis modelling
  • Undertook an evaluation of an end-to-end offender management program for a state corrections department, undertaking trauma-informed engagement with previously incarcerated persons
  • Provided strategic and commercial advice to a port operator

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Nick worked for a Big Four firm in its Integrated Infrastructure team. His work focused on the strategic and economic evaluation of large-scale social infrastructure projects. Nick also previously worked as a graduate consultant at a boutique management consultancy, specialising in policy reform and organisational improvement in the health and social services sectors. 

Nick holds a Bachelor of Economics (Advanced) and a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Adelaide. During his studies, he undertook a six-month exchange to Maastricht University in the Netherlands and a one-month study tour to the University of Tübingen in Germany. He was awarded certificates of excellence for East Asian Economies II, Development Economics III, and International Finance III. 

In his spare time...

Nick enjoys travelling domestically and internationally with his partner. He loves sport, particularly cricket and AFL, and is a lifelong supporter of the Port Adelaide Football Club.
