His consulting experience, including through pro-bono and internship work, has developed his skills in generating ideas, preparing presentations and managing stakeholders. He brings expertise in strategy, public policy and data analysis, and has worked in education, health, retail and financial services.

Influential work

  • Supported the growth strategy for a global insurance company, conducting competitor analysis and creating a partnership scoring system to identify a suitable white-label partnership
  • Identified new use cases for higher educational data sets, connecting the education and job market to identify critical courses university clients should prioritise
  • Developed a go-to-market strategy for an education technology start-up, conducting market research and surveys to understand the needs of public-school teachers and students
  • Conducted financial analysis for an Australian retail conglomerate, using information from previous financial reports to derive key profitability and efficiency ratios
  • Onboarded more than 100 new partnered brands, attending partnership meetings to determine an appropriate percentage commission for each partnership.

Outside of Nous

Romin undertook three internships during his undergraduate degree in professional services, consulting and start-ups.

In his first internship, he worked in the global tax team at PwC, working on projects in retail and financial services. He then interned at Strategic Project Partners (SPP), where he undertook a project in healthcare. His final experience was at Upstreet, where he worked on operations and product development.

Romin holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. During his university degree, he also tutored high school students, volunteered as a pro-bono consultant at BusinessOne consulting, and was part of the committee at Oaktree's University of Melbourne branch.

In his spare time...

Romin loves staying active, whether running or playing sports with friends. Recently he travelled to Europe and the United States for three months and would love to explore Asia.
