Influential work

  • Advanced the Agency for Clinical Innovations (ACI) through planning, designing and innovating the process of healthcare to improve patient outcomes
  • Deployed as a Medical Officer alongside Navy and Army paramedics to respond to floods in Coraki and Lismore, initiating contact with flood victims, providing medical and psychological first aid, providing meals, and assisting with removal of flood damage
  • Worked as a registered paramedic with the NHS London Ambulance service, gaining significant understanding of health systems and emergency management, and working alongside multiple other agencies to seamlessly deliver patient centred care
  • Led surf life-saving initiatives and rescues at Whale Beach SLSC, including orchestrating Women of Whale Campaign to increase female engagement and leading a successful resuscitation, earning a Meritorious Award from Surf LifeSaving Australia
  • Founder of The Healing Platform, a digital interface created to address issues faced by clinicians, patients and carers in a multi-faceted healthcare journey
  • Served as a peer mentor at Australian Catholic University, supporting academic progression and growth for first- and second-year paramedicine students.

Outside of Nous

Sophie loves to commit time to projects and initiatives that she is passionate about – particularly in healthcare.

Sophie believes in the reciprocal benefits of community service, giving countless hours every year to Surf Life Saving Australia. These surf lifesaving achievements have been recognised through her receiving Volunteer of the Year, and receiving Rescue of the Year for the entire Northern Beaches catchment.

She also deploys with Disaster Relief Australia to rapidly respond to disasters around the globe. She splits her spare time between the Rising Women Leaders Red Cross Board, and furthering her education.

In her spare time...

Sophie loves to keep active, engaging in challenging walks, hikes and events. Sophie loves spending time outdoors, and particularly enjoys getting out before sunrise. Sophie loves to read crime novels.
