With more than 15 years’ experience spanning academia, not-for-profits and tech startups, she brings strong project and product management capability, expertise in sociotechnical systems, and outstanding communication skills. Charlotte has worked with government, cultural and educational institutions on AI strategy, policy and capability building. She thrives in complexity and is passionate about harnessing technology to solve problems that matter to people and communities.
Influential work
- Co-authored a national short course on the ISO/IEC 42001 AI Management System Standard, presenting complex regulatory and technical concepts in accessible ways to senior leaders across sectors and supporting hundreds of participants and played a key role in Australia’s adoption of the new global AI standard
- Designed and delivered future-focused projects on AI with the National Library of Australia, National Film and Sound Archive and National Institute of Dramatic Art, leading stakeholder engagement, scenario development and prototype delivery to explore the opportunities and risks of emerging technologies
- Convened project-based Digital Humanities courses at ANU and taught into the Master of Applied Cybernetics on the social and ethical impacts of AI, developing and delivering curriculum on cultural data analysis and responsible technology
- Led user research and product strategy for a new product in the wills and estates market, an offering that exceeded its sales target by 100 per cent in its first quarter and drove key process improvements across the business
Outside of Nous
Prior to joining Nous, Charlotte held roles in academia, technology and the arts. At the Australian National University’s School of Cybernetics, she led multi-stakeholder projects exploring the responsible use of artificial intelligence in public institutions and co-authored a national course on AI governance. She was a Product Manager at legal tech start-up Settify and held communications and data leadership roles at major performing arts companies including Opera Australia and Belvoir Theatre. Charlotte holds a Masters and is completing a PhD in Applied Cybernetics, as well as a Masters in English literature.

Charlotte is a theatre nerd who never goes to the theatre because she's too busy enjoying the company of her young family.
