Nous Group is pleased to report industry-leading outcomes in gender pay equality, according to new data from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).

WGEA began publishing employer gender pay gaps for Australian organisations with more than 100 Australian employees for the first time in 2024. An employer gender pay gap reflects the difference between the average remuneration of women and the average remuneration of men across the whole organisation. It is not a reflection of the differences in pay between men and women in the same roles – that is equal pay, which has been a legal requirement since 1969.

WGEA’s latest analysis shows our median gender pay gaps for Nous and Nous Group (including NousCubane) by base salary and total remuneration are significantly less than others in the consulting industry.

Nous Group data shows the difference between median gender pay gap by total remuneration and base salary is reflective of the choices made by individuals in relation to our optional collaborative bonus.

Sally Pritchard, Nous Group’s Chief People Officer, commented on the results: “WGEA’s reporting indicates that our gender pay gap is significantly better than the industry norm, but that doesn’t mean we will lose focus. Equality and equity for all our people must always be at forefront of our thinking and our actions.”

Nous Group has a range of policies and practices in place to promote gender equality. The impact of these processes and policies is continuously evaluated to ensure they are delivering against our goals and contributing to a gender equal environment.

Sally continued: “Although there will be changes to the composition of our workforce year to year, we are always striving to create a workplace that is inclusive and equitable for all. This intent has always been a cornerstone of Nous Group culture.”

Analysis shows that Nous Group and Nous has a close to balanced gender split in the upper pay quartile, however, there is a higher concentration of women in all other quartiles and this is reflected in the gender pay gaps reported.
