Nous is once again delighted to have our unique culture recognised through Great Place to Work certification in Australia.
Great Place to Work Certification is based solely on what employees report about their workplace experience and how consistently they feel it to be a high-trust workplace. This feedback is gathered by Great Place to Work through an anonymous Trust Index survey. In February this year, 335 Australian-based Nousers shared their experience of what it’s like to work at Nous.
Our overall result, averaged across all statements in the survey, shows 89 per cent of our Australian team think we have built a great workplace. This is well above the Trust Index benchmark of 65 per cent required for certification.
When asked specifically if Nous is a great place to work, 92 per cent of respondents agreed.
Nous Group CEO and Managing Principal Tim Orton said: “These are very strong results and a great reflection of our collective commitment to Nous’ culture. Congratulations to all on this well-deserved achievement.”
The Great Place to Work Trust Index survey measures employee experience across more than 20 focus areas. Our results show the most highly rated aspects of working at Nous include:
- Justice: The extent to which employees perceive that management promotes inclusive behaviour, avoids discrimination, and is committed to ensuring fair appeals.
- Community: The deepest level of camaraderie that is developed in a group.
- Team: The pride that employees develop in their team, the team’s accomplishments, and their willingness to give extra for the benefit of the team.
- Leadership behaviour: People’s experience of leaders’ behaviour and how it resonates with the company’s strategy and values.
- Integrity: Leadership’s commitment to highly principled standards and their ability to take actions based on these standards.
Nous Group Chief People Officer Sally Pritchard said: “It’s wonderful to see our focus on creating an inclusive and collaborative environment, underpinned by strong and consistent leadership, recognised in these results from Great Place to Work.
“Our culture is a defining feature of Nous. While maintaining it is a continuous balancing act, we believe that, if you create the right conditions, individuals and the group will flourish.”
This latest certification builds upon Nous’ growing list of workplace accolades which include being named a Top Graduate employer five years in a row and being named one of Australia’s Best Workplaces for Women and Best Workplaces overall in 2023.
