International management consultancy, Nous Group, today announced its acquisition of specialist consulting firm, Health Policy Analysis (HPA), as the business expands its health practice and gears up for continued growth in the sector.

Due to be completed on 1 August, the acquisition will see HPA’s specialist expertise in analytics, evaluation methods, funding policy, and services planning further deepen Nous’ market-leading offer in the health and aged care sectors.

Working together, Nous and HPA will provide clients with a smoother, end-to end experience and open up access to new opportunities in the market.

Nous Group Founder, CEO and Managing Principal, Tim Orton, said: “Demand for our healthcare services has grown significantly over the last three years and during that time, we’ve worked closely with HPA on a range of projects where we have complementary skills and expertise.”

“Coming together and formalising this successful relationship enables us to offer a better experience to clients while also growing our offer and access to opportunities in the market here and overseas.”

Over the last 25 years, Nous has established itself as one of Australia’s leading mid-sized consultancies working across the public, private, and community sectors before expanding into the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and Mexico. Over a similar period, HPA has successfully consulted in health and aged care, focusing on the delivery of evaluations, funding policy, and health services planning and forecasting in Australia.

HPA Founder and Director, Jim Pearse, said: “I’m excited about this move. It strengthens the range and scale of what we can deliver for health and aged care clients and ultimately the communities they serve.”

“We are thrilled to be joining Nous, an organisation that shares our values. We are both committed to delivering work that has a positive impact for broader society by working collaboratively with our clients and building their capabilities while generating evidence-based and tailored solutions.”

From 1 August, the HPA team will transition into Nous Group where they will operate under the Nous brand.
