Nous Group today announced the expansion of its physical footprint and capacity to service clients across Canada with the opening of an office in Vancouver

Building upon the success of Nous Principal, Ray Messom, who has been working with healthcare clients in British Columbia and Alberta since early last year, a team of Nous consultants will be based in Vancouver from February 2025.

Nous Group CEO and Managing Principal, Tim Orton, said: “Our Toronto team has been working with clients coast-to-coast since 2019 but over the last 12 months, demand for our specialist healthcare and higher education expertise has grown exponentially. We’re excited to further invest in our capacity to meet that demand while expanding our physical presence across the country.”

Nous operates as one firm across Australia, Canada and the UK and has delivered positive influence through more than 1800 health sector and 600 higher education projects over the last 25 years. The Vancouver team further augments Nous’ offering, combining a uniquely West Coast approach with the best from Nous’ global health and higher education practices.

The Vancouver team will be led by Principal Ray Messom, who will be supported by Director Nathalie Mejia, as they grow the local team and operations.

Commenting on Nous’ growing market traction across Canada, Ray said: “Since relocating to Vancouver a year ago, I have been overwhelmed with the response from the market. As the old adage goes, ‘what got you here, won’t get you there’ – clients are looking for a fresh approach.

“The key issues we’re seeing Canadian clients grapple with are not always uniquely Canadian. More often than not there are lessons to be learned and insights to be adapted from the experience of operators and policy makers in other Commonwealth countries. This is a key benefit driving demand for our consulting services, particularly in healthcare and higher education.”

Nous opened its first Canadian office in Toronto five years ago. It has since established itself as a trusted partner to a range of clients in the education, government, health, long term care and social services sectors across Canada. These include the British Columbia Provincial Health Services Authority, Alberta Ministry of Health, Ontario Ministry of Health, Ontario Health, the Salvation Army Canada and provincial health service agencies across Atlantic Canada as well as dozens of Canadian higher education institutions from coast to coast, including various members of the U15.
